Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to pursue a passion for acting. At the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. Though he's appeared in films and on television however, it's his actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. The ability of his characters to appear in both legal and non-legal settings is what has caught the attention of viewers. On his debut TV show where he played the character of a killer. Then, he went on to play the part of an NYPD Detective. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performance. The actor is famous by his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was featured in 2006 when he was included in the People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
